j-hope’s LA Home Listed on Airbnb
On March 2nd, it was reported that the house where j-hope is staying in LA is a mansion listed on the luxury accommodation sharing site “Airbnb Luxe”.
Located in the upscale area of Beverly Hills, LA, the house features five bedrooms, five bathrooms and a dedicated workspace.
The property requires a minimum booking of 30 days, with a daily rental price of $2,378 (approximately 3.47 million KRW). For a full month, the rental cost amounts to $71,340 (approximately 104 million KRW). When including cleaning fees, service charges and taxes, the total monthly cost exceeds $90,000 (approximately 131 million KRW).
The accommodation also offers additional services, such as three daily chef-prepared meals, airport transportation, grocery shopping and housekeeping.
Airbnb Luxe describes the property as follows, “Immerse yourself in a relaxing yet luxurious Californian lifestyle in an impressive Beverly Hills residence. Explore Laurel Canyon, take a stroll along Hollywood Boulevard or enjoy sightseeing in Santa Monica.”
j-hope recently appeared on MBC’s “I Live Alone” on February 28th, where he shared updates on his stay in LA for music production. He revealed, “I came to LA to work on my music. This is for a very important single album that I’ve been planning since before my military discharge.”
He gave a glimpse of his workspace, stating, “I spend a lot of time at home, so I set up a space where I can record.” He also showcased his spacious bedroom, bathroom and dressing room.
j-hope Buys 15 Million USD Penthouse and Additional Unit in Cash?
On September 3rd, 2024, a media outlet reported that j-hope recently bought a penthouse in a high-end apartment complex in Seoul for 12 billion KRW (approximately 9 million USD) entirely in cash. It was also revealed that a month later, he purchased an additional unit on the floor below the penthouse.
According to the report, j-hope signed the contract for the lower-floor unit in June 2020 and completed the full payment in July 2024, officially transferring ownership. The current market price for these apartments ranges from 11 billion to 12 billion KRW (approximately 8.3 to 9 million USD). Since j-hope did not take out a mortgage, it’s estimated that he paid over 20 billion KRW (almost 15 million USD) in cash to purchase the two apartments.
This is not the first time j-hope has invested in luxury real estate, as he previously bought two other high-end apartments. With these purchases, j-hope now owns a total of four luxury residences, solidifying his status as ‘young and rich.’
Meanwhile, j-hope enlisted in the military as an active-duty soldier on April 18th, 2023 and was discharged on October 17th, 2024.
